Location: Debre Sina/Debre Berhan (~around 6 hours drive from Addis)

Mezezo health center is another site that is severely damaged by terrorists that UTRBE decided to take on as one of the first projects. Most of the buildings and medical equipment were destroyed or stolen as you see in the pictures below. Team Lenate Hagere (ለናት ሃገሬ) under UTRBE started this project to donate and collect fund and has been supporting this amazing initiative. UTRBE also donated a brand new ultrasound and medical supplies (see picture below) to mitigate the immediate need of the community.

We collaborated with Debre Berhan University Engineering department to help us create a project plan, implementation plan and design. The project launched early 2023 and has been progressing very quickly. So many collaboration with the local community, Wereda officials and university. This would not happen without the continued effort and support of many. Expected to complete the project August 2023!
